DAC-CP is a prolonged-acting wound dressing with a natural antibiotic for the treatment of purulent necrotic wounds, pressure ulcers and trophic ulcers
DAC-CP is used for the treatment of
- purulent necrotic wounds
- trophic ulcers
- non-healing wounds in patients with diabetes mellitus
- pressure ulcers with mild to moderate exudation
- infected pressure ulcers
- pressure ulcers without inflammation
- acne of the IV degree (severe)/III degree (moderately severe).
The course of treatment is 3-10 applications (depending on the condition and size of the wound, the general condition of the patient and the state of the immune system).
The exposure time of one application is 24-48 hours.
Features and benefits of the DAC-CP wound covering:
- reduces wound inflammation, has antibacterial and antimicrobial effects;
- reduces wound healing time by 2-3 times;
- actively heals the wound, accelerates the formation of new granulations and the process of epithelialization. Visible effect in 1-2 days of application;
- does not cause pain during application, as it does not stick to the wound
- requires one application per day, the material has a prolonged effect for 24-48 hours
- does not cause allergic reactions and side effects, the doses of active substances in the material are minimal but sufficient for maximum effectiveness;
- cheap to use due to the high activity of the active ingredients and the minimum frequency of application (no more than one application per day).
Composition features:
DAC-CP is a multicomponent wound healing preparation. It consists of modified cellulose (dialdehyde cellulose) with immobilized chitosan-propolis complex. It has a high absorption capacity.
Propolis is a natural antibiotic, active against gram(+) and gram(-) bacteria. The activity of propolis in combination with chitosan also accelerates tissue repair and prevents scarring.
Mechanism of action:
In the manufacture of DAC-CP wound dressing, the technology of immobilization of the water-soluble fraction of propolis and their incorporation into the structure of the material (molecular modeling technology) is used. This technology ensures prolonged activity of the medicinal components (activity for 48 hours) and has a pronounced therapeutic effect. Chitosan and propolis have a powerful reparative effect (tissue repair) and minimize pain.
How to use
1) pre-treat the wound with a hydrogel with chitosan (pH 4.8-5.2). Do not use hydrogen peroxide, alcohol and potassium permanganate (potassium permanganate) for wound treatment;
2) cover the entire wound geometry with a thin layer of the drug, capturing the wound edges. DAC-CP is used together with DAC-CS in a ratio of approximately 50:50.
3) the drug should be constantly moist in the wound. Maintain moisture in the wound by adding a hydrogel or saline solution every 4 hours;
4) applications are made every 48 hours. As the wound heals, applications are made once every 2 days.
5) stop using DAC-CP when the wound is epithelialized (pronounced marginal epithelialization, islet epithelium);
6) 25 g of the drug is enough for 10 applications to a wound measuring 5 x 5 cm.
Ingredients
dialdehyde cellulose - 24.775 g
water-soluble propolis fraction - 1.875 g
chitosan - 0.1 g.
Packaging: 25 g of DAC-CP dry powder in a container (without outer packaging).
The date after which testing is recommended is indicated on the label (EXP....).
Storage temperature: 4-25ºC, in a dry place protected from light.
