DAC-CS prolonged wounder dressing for the treatment of purulent necrotic wounds, bedsores and trophic ulcers
DAC-CS wound dressing is used for the treatment of:
- purulent necrotic wounds;
- trophic ulcers;
- non-healing wounds in diabetic patients;
- bedsores with mild to moderate exudation;
- infected bedsores;
- bedsores without inflammation;
- Grade IV (severe)/Grade III (moderately severe) acne.
Course of treatment - 3-10 applications (depending on the condition and size of the wound, the general condition of the patient and the state of the immune system).
Exposure time of one application is 24-48 hours.
Features and advantages of DAC-CS wound dressing:
- reduces inflammation and painlessly cleans the wound, has antiseptic action;
- reduces the time of wound healing by 2-3 times;
- actively heals the wound, accelerates the formation of new granulations and the process of epithelization. Visible effect after 1-2 days of application;
- doesn't cause pain when dressing, because it does not stick to the wound
- it requires one dressing a day, the material has a prolonged effect for 24-48 hours;
- do not cause allergic reactions and side effects, the doses of active substances in the material are minimal, but sufficient for maximum effectiveness;

DAC-CS is a multicomponent wound healing preparation. It consists of modified cellulose (dialdehyde cellulose) with immobilized chitosan-collagenase complex. It has a high absorption capacity.
Collagenase is a proteolytic enzyme, which has a powerful proteolytic effect (splits non-viable proteins), cleanses the damaged surface of non-viable tissues, destroys the shells of bacteria (antiseptic effect), reduces inflammation. Enzyme activity in combination with chitosan also accelerates tissue repair and prevents scar formation (elastolytic and collagenolytic activity).
Mechanism of influence:
The technology of immobilizing enzymes and incorporating them into the structure of the material (molecular modeling technology) is used in the manufacture of DAC-CS wound dressing. This technology provides prolonged activity of the medication components (activity of 48 hours) and provides a pronounced therapeutic effect. Chitosan and collagenase have a powerful reparative effect (tissue repair), minimizes pain syndrome.
How to use
1) pre-treat the wound with chlorhexidine (gluconate) solution. Do not use hydrogen peroxide, alcohol and potassium permanganate (manganese) to treat the wound;
2) cover the entire geometry of the wound with the preparation in a thin layer, seizing the edges of the wound.
3) the preparation should be constantly moist in the wound. Maintain moistness in the wound by adding chlorhexidine or saline solution every 4 hours;
4) the application is made every 48 hours. As the wound heals, applications are made once every 2 days.
5) stop using DAC-CS when the wound is epithelialized (appearance of pronounced marginal epithelialization, islet epithelialization);
6) 50 g of the preparation is enough for 10 applications of 10 x 10 cm wound.
